LOCATION
The riding spot, appropriately named "The Pool" has wide-open, butter flat, crystal clear waters and a very addictive vibe. Forget about kiting at crowded beaches, we take boats out to these spots. That's right, plan on getting up early and packing up the boat with all your gear and heading to these insane private kiteboarding islands. We will park you behind some beautiful mangrove islands where you will feel no wind, yet five feet above your head its blowing 25 knots! Behind the mangrove islands you will be riding in glass flat shallow water all day long, and don't worry about staying upwind, we have a boat for quick returns on downwind runs.

The Broneah "Spring Fling" Kiteboarding Camp is located in the small village of La Parguera. This is a super mellow fishing village, which brings in tourists from all over the world. The city is based next to the world famous Bioluminescent Lagoon which magically lights up at night. The town and area offers many activities including boat trips through the channels, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, kiteboarding and just straight up chilling.

CONDITIONS
The south side of the island has a dry, desert landscape that creates consistent and strong thermal winds nearly every day! Coming in the spring, you can expect to ride at least seven out of ten days! During our 2004 March camp, we scored 26 out of 30 days! Beat that! Usually the wind is lighter in the morning working with kite sizes 14-17 meter, then in the afternoon it really starts to blow and you will be putting up your 8-12meter kites. With this in mind, you need to bring all the kites you own.

If you plan to bring a friend, wife, or child to the camp there is an additional $250 fee per extra person, this fee covers the following:

ACCOMMODATIONS
You will be staying in one of the nicest hotels in the area at an incredibly discounted rate! This package includes a 4-day "Spring Fling" camp running Monday-Thursday with on the water kiteboarding each day from 10-4. With this package you will stay in a room at Villa Parguera for 5 nights (sun-thurs) that can accommodate you and for an additional fee an additional person. Along with this package you will receive a free breakfast each morning and a custom “Broneah Lunch” at the reef each day. We must stress that this is a great deal we have set up exclusively with this hotel with great savings for our customers.

The “Patagonia Adventure” camp will be run a bit differently than all other Broneah camps and lesson programs. Kiteboarding is still the number one focus of the camp, and if the conditions are perfect for kiting each day, that’s what we will do. But if the conditions do not shape up, we will not sit around and wait for wind or a clearing front. Patagonia offers the ultimate setting for nearly every single outdoor sporting activity. This camp will be based off of the weather; if kiteboarding is not the best option for the given day we will have one of the following activities planned instead of hitting the water:
- A day hike to Refuge Camp Cerro Lopez
- Float trip down the Limay River or rafting trip down the Rio Manso
- A day trip to Villa Angostura or through the Circito Chico (the most amazing drive of your life!)
- Mountain Bike rides through the Arrayanes Forest (where the setting from Bambi was created).
- Fly through a Coihue Forest on a cable line

WEATHER
Patagonia is known for its wind; with this wind comes many different forms of weather. Various weather systems blow across this area on a daily basis. In a given week during the time period of our camps, you could see temps fluctuate anywhere from 60 degrees to 90 degrees, with cool nights. January and February are one of the driest periods for the area, but you still may see a front push through with a bit of rain from time to time.

PLAN
We plan to start each lesson day at 11AM. Each lesson will meet at Lokalani in downtown Bariloche. The lesson will begin with a brief introduction at the shop and then we will be headed out to the best teaching location for the day. Lessons typically end around 5:00PM depending on conditions and students progression. We ask that you please bring a full wetsuit if possible (preferably a 4/3 full suit) with booties. The wind in Bariloche is great, but the water can be a bit chilly at times!

EXTENDED TRIP
We understand that many of you that come to Patagonia will want to stay longer than the trip we provide. We are more than happy to help arrange this for you. There is an endless amount of alternate activities that the area provides and we can set you up with any activity you prefer. These lessons will be run like all Broneah Kiteboarding Michigan lessons from 11am until about 6pm.

Each of these spots has certain wind directions that work best, and we will be sure to take you to the proper place for the lesson.

All Traverse City Snow Kiteboarding Lessons will meet at the Broneah Kiteboarding shop by 11AM.

If this is your first time getting introduced to the sport, then don’t worry about a thing, Broneah will provide you with all the gear you will need for the lesson. If you are coming for an advanced lesson, please bring all your current kiteboarding gear so we can help you to dial it in and make sure its right for you. This is the ultimate lesson for any newcomer into the sport that is serious about getting going as fast as possible.

EXPECTATIONS
Those of you who currently kiteboard understand that the sport is completely weather dependent; unfortunately we cannot control Mother Nature. In order to kiteboard, you have to have wind. We have traveled thousands of miles to go kiteboarding in places that “always blow” but have been without wind for weeks on end. It is just part of the sport. We will work with whatever we get, whether its 30 knots or rain, we will make the best of it. Just come with that in mind and know that we try to do as best we can to make sure the conditions look good prior to the lesson.

Prepare to meet other kiteboarders in your lesson that could potentially become life-long friends. We have been organizing these kiteboarding lessons for many years now, and in this time have met some incredible people. Expect to learn and to share priceless memories with students of all types.

RESERVATIONS
If you’re interested in attending a Michigan Kiteboarding One-day lesson you need to reserve your spots ASAP. Sooner you reserve the better chance you have of getting the dates you would like. We have set up the lessom so the student to teacher ratio will never be more than 3:1.

Every one-day lesson starts and ends at the Broneah Kiteboarding shop in downtown Traverse City. The meeting time for each day of instruction is 11AM. We ask that you try to arrive 5-10 minutes early to ensure an 11AM starting time.

If this is your first time getting introduced to the sport, then don't worry about a thing, Broneah will provide you with all the gear you will need for the weekend. If you are coming for an advanced lesson, please bring all your current kiteboarding gear so we can help you to dial it in and make sure its right for you. You can expect to see some incredible locations and riding spots that we have spent the past few years searching for.

EXPECTATIONS
Following our time tested lesson program format, you will leave with the knowledge needed to head out and do the sport safely on your own. Our goal for any lesson is to send the student home with the confidence needed to continue progression safely, being able to make good judgment and know what you are doing independently. We welcome you to book as many one-day lessons as you feel needed, until you are 100% confident on your own. Everyone progresses at different rates, were happy to work with you as many times as you need!

ABILITY LEVEL
These lessons will accommodate any ability level, beginner through advanced. For advanced lessons a wave runner will be on site for “on the water” instruction. Please notify Broneah if you have taken any previous lessons at booking.

RESERVATIONS
One-day lessons cost $450.00 per person per day. A maximum of 3 students per instructor, unless otherwise specified for group bookings.
